So - silly me. I'm on my 4th or 5th Charge 5 now. I have sleeve tattoos down to my wrist so I can only use a narrow fit device, not a full size. Otherwise I'd be off them.
I must continue to preach about inaccuracies. I just ran on the treadmill at the cardio doc for 15min at 160bpm, but my 5 never went above 123bpm.
When I wear a chest strap it's the same story. The charge 5 is always at least 20bpm behind, on plain skin, no ink, no hair.
Sometimes at night it just takes off and soars up to 170bpm while I'm sleeping. I bought a pulse oximeter just to make sure I was not going tachy at night, and of course, the ring shows 60bpm while the charge 5 is just doing whatever it wants.
1. How can Fitbit fix these issues?
2. Why would you offer high heart rate or afib alert on a device that shows false high heart rates?
3. If the ECG accidentally turns on in the shower or in the water, it kills the screen and battery. Is there a way to remove the ECG app?
Charge 4 is by far superior, and I'm about to dust it off. Please don't stop supporting the 4!
