My charge 5 has always logged my swimming at c.6-7 calories per minute when I select that exercise option.
It has suddenly begun to massively underestimate the calorie count. My last 2 swims were 35 minutes and 1300 yards (48 calories) and 15 minutes and 450 yards (21 calories).
So it’s detecting the exercise and the distance but calculating a similar calorie burn to sitting watching TV.
I thought the first might be a one-off but it’s now happened twice…
I know there are posts on here about new fitbits misbehaving but this is aberrant behaviour after a year of being fine.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Hello @Devonian
There's currently an issue that affects calorie tracking. The team is aware of the problem and is working on a fix. Hopefully, it won't take too long before a fix is rolled out.

Thank you
I’ll just have to quadruple my swims to compensate

Just done 18 mins and 26 calories so obviously the problem continues

Perhaps if anyone from Fitbit reads this, they could target fixing the basic functionality of the product, in preference to producing content like recipes and ‘Guidance, insights, and inspiration to live your healthiest every day’ etc

It seems bonkers that information around fundamental technical issues like this is managed by a forum.
How can I have a good moan at Fitbit?
