Charge 5 incorrectly logging exercises and calories burned

Hiya

My new Charge 5 is incorrectly recognising activity and/or calories burned

e.g. yesterday I walked for 1 hour and it logged 358 calories. I had a 30 min break and then walked the same 1 hour walk back home, but it only logged 74 calories for this walk?

Today, I did a 45 minute HIIT session in the gym and all its logged is a 17 min swim (?) burning 61 calories and zero steps - because apparently I was swimming therefore I didn't do any steps?!?

My Mondays HIIT session in the gym was 45 minutes - Fitbit has logged its as an 11 minute workout burning just 80 calories.

Any advice appreciated

Thank-you

Hello @Avanifibi

For the HIIT session did you started them manually or did you get the Charge 5 to auto-recognised the activity ?

Hello @SebWotan 🙂

Thank-you for replying,

I leave everything up to Fitbit to auto-recognise - therefore the HIIT session is reliant on auto-recognise.  I haven't got into the habit of starting exercises manually!

That might be the cause of the problem. Could you try for your next HIIT to start it manually ?

Same thing for the walk ?
