Charge 5 instantly loses charge when removed from charger

My charge 5 is charging but when I take it off the charger is goes off, Fitbit logo comes on, and charge has dropped to 1%. I’ve tried resetting it in the menu and pressing the button on the charger 3 times, nothing has worked!
