Charge 5 integrated GPS not working - customer support not helping and stalling my request

I have been using fitbit for 7 years now and changed to a charge 5 a couple of months ago because of the integrated GPS function. 
This has not worked once since purchase - only the GPS running over my phone. 
i have tried all the suggested steps, fully charged the device and tested it in several countries when traveling. Without success. The integrated GPS has not been able to find a signal at all. 
Support sent me a replacement device and it was exactly the same with that. Now I have been chatting with support every other day for weeks and I feel like no one cares anymore. Super disappointed!
