There was a firmware update (194.41) for the Charge 5 that bricked the device. I had the same issue. I received a new one, but I still think the update needs to roll out so that hopefully everyone's device will work again.
That being said: aren't there like big media outlets to contact to address the fact a lot of Fitbit users are kept in the dark for months, hoping for their devices to start working again? Maybe that will move Google a bit to fix it?
In other words: isn't there anything we can do?
