My charge 5 dies when I go out on a bike ride. It's been happening for a couple of weeks, and still happening even after a restart. The battery level is never too low, and it records any workout I do prior to my ride. Any advice?

Hi there, @TLats. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 keeps crashing during your bikes. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
To better assist you, I'd like to confirm that this is happening just when biking, isn't it? Have you tried performing any other high intensity activity?
In the meantime, I'd suggest trying the following:
If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Thanks for these tips. I have tried all of them, but my device stopped again this morning after recording 16 minutes of a 40 minute ride. There's still 54% battery, but it was completely dead when I finished my ride.
I can only assume that this is caused by a drop in temperature to below 5°C, which is the temperature in London today. If that's the case, I might as well buy myself a more reliable tracker that works in the cold.
