Charge 5 is frozen on EDA stress scan

My Charge 5 (new in Nov 2022) is frozen on the EDA stress scan. I wasn’t trying to do the scan, but this is the screen that was showing this AM. I’ve done all the updates. I have tried the resets from the app and from the charging cable. I thought I would delete the device from the app and start fresh, but I can’t input the 4-digit code because my screen is stuck on the EDA stress scan. Any suggestions?

The only option I can think of is to do a restart

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second.
  3. Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Note: If the device doesn’t restart, wait 15 seconds to try again.

Thanks! Sorry to say that I’ve already tried this-a few times. Thanks for
your response.

Hi I had a similar issue with 2 screens showing one on top of the other. stuck that way. Eventually the battery ran out, and when I recharged it, it was ok. That's been about a week or so. I first tried all the reset stuff.

Thank you! That’s exactly what happened! Mine is up and running again, too.

I was finally able to reset the charge 5. Didn’t realize the reset button was the physical round button on the charging CORD near the USB part of the cord. (I thought the reset instructions were referring to the “button” on the side of the device itself.)

This just happened to me this morning.  I was stuck in EDA scan and had the two screens overlaying each other.  The reset worked but I wish there was a way to disable the EDA scan so this doesn't happen again.
