My Charge 5 watch has suddenly stopped displaying. It had a weird light background to the display yesterday before going off altogether. Only purchased on 11/2/23.
Any advise?

Having the same problem, in addition battery is draining!
Can't repair with Bluetooth since display is dark.
Restart doesn't solve issues

This is laughable really. So we have a chat about what’s wrong with our watches, great, but what is Fitbit doing to fix them?
incidently, my watch has suddenly started working again. No idea how long for though. Good luck to us all.

Same thing when I went to charge it, it no longer charges, and if the display come on, it shows horizontal lines on a flashing screen.
So it's dead for all intents and purposes.
Was there a new firmware pushed out?

My Charge 5 worked fine last night. Woke up this morning …. FAIL! Blank screen. Tried all instructions, and charging it. Even the button push on the charge cord x3 process. Zip. Nothing.

Does anybody else think it's weird that everybody's charge 5s suddenly broke down? Apparently my warranty replacement is on its way. Hopefully it gets here soon because it is a pain having a mostly dead Fitbit. It works to track steps and it buzzes me like it is working, but I can't start a workout. I can't set a timer. And I have no clue what time it is.

Mine went completely blank 3 days ago. I was travelling so thought maybe the charge ran down suddenly. Home now and see on the dashboard that it's charged so that's not the problem. Tried connecting to charger and pressed the charge cable button three times. No result except buzz when pressing button on charge cord. Phone app can't connect to Charge 5. I've had this less than a year and have accepted a lot of glitches but now it is simply non-functional.

Just started typing Fitness tracker in Google to find an alternative and 'Fitness tracker not Fitbit' is the top autofill. We are not alone 🙂

If you purchased less than a year ago, you can get the warranty replacement. Just be sure that you stand your ground with the customer service agent. It took me an hour and a half before she granted me the link to request the replacement. Hopefully it will get me through to Black Friday when I can get a Garmin cheaper

Will a replacement solve the problem or will the new unit fail with the same issue?

My Fitbit Charge 5 still displays and tracks, but I have to tap it more than twice to see what’s on the screen. Up until a couple of days ago I had to do was flick my wrist or turn my arm to get the display to show. Why the sudden change and how can I fix it?

That's in the options, if you want long battery life you have it set up the way it is now, the flick of wrist has it going off always and really drains your battery.

Thanks! Yes, I do have that set up but the charge wasn't actually the problem. It doesn't turn on no matter what I do and despite 24 hrs of charging. It's very disappointing after only 9 months of use.
