Hi,
My Charge 5 needed charging the other day which surprised me.
I charged it and after a couple of hours noticed it wasn't counting steps, active minutes etc... and an hour later the screen went blank. After several attempts I reset it using the cable and waited for 100% charge.
Started wearing it, still wouldn't monitor steps etc... and now the battery drains within an hour.
I bought it on 27/11/22 so it is less than a year old and seems to have come to the end of its life.
Should I return this to where I purchased it from?
Thanks,
James (United Kingdom)

Hello @convectedcanary
Sorry to see you're having troubles with your Charge 5.
Do you see a green light on the back of your device? To check, put your finger across the back of the Charge 5. You should see a green light when you lift your finger. If there's no green light, then your Charge 5 is defective.
Since you bought your device almost a year ago, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) to see what are your warranty options.
