I helped a friend of mine move yesterday and went up and down a 14 step staircase at least 30 times. My app shows a score of zero floors climbed yesterday. In fact, my app seems to show that I have climbed zero floors for the entirety of the current year. Clearly this is incorrect so I am wondering what the problem might be. Thank you, in advance, for your help.

@BOFF in order to count floors, a Fitbit device needs a piece of hardware called an altimeter. The Charge 5 does not have an altimeter, so it is unable to detect floors.

My Charge 5 does not count floors. One of Google's "improvements."

@davidb531 I saw a video of a Charge 5 teardown when it was released. The Charge 5 has the ECG a EDA features -- and hardware. I honestly think that there isn't enough room for an altimeter with a similar sized pebble as other Charge models.
