Charge 5 is showing different calories than my Fitbit app

I have an S21, the Fitbit app on my phone shows a different number of calories burnt to that on the watch and it doesn't update. The phone app also registers the same number of calories burnt every day, so it's doing an estimate automatically and not gathering the data from the watch. What is the point on allowing logging the food we eat?

I have a basic account, I'm not gonna change to premium.

Hi there, @MimiPouso. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.

As per the description of your post, it seems like you haven't set up your Charge 5 yet. That would explain why the calories don't match and why you're only seeing your BMR. 

To make sure that your Charge 5 is not linked to your Fitbit account, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image. If you don't see your Charge 5 connected, please visit How do I set up my Fitbit device?
