Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Connormcleod1!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. Time on your Fitbit device is set whenever you've synced it with your phone. So please make sure that your phone is set to the correct time zone. If it is and you're still having issues with the time on your Charge 5, please have a closer look here:

How do I fix the time on my Fitbit device?

If that won't work for you, I'd suggest restarting your device after having synced it to not lose any tracked data. To do so, please follow these instructions as timing is important:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a reliable power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.

Hi there, @Connormcleod1. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.

As @Talahthas has mentioned, please keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync? or if  you need to relink your Charge 5, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

If the steps above don't work, please follow the steps below:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
  • Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
