It might be worth putting it on the charger and then pressing the button at the USB end 3 times to restart it.   Then you could try again.

 

Are you using iPhone or Android?  That could make a difference.

If you have an ad blocker on your phone it’s worth disabling it while you’re trying to update.

 I hope that helps a bit.

I finally got it after restarting my phone, restarting Bluetooth, and restarting the Charge 5. Thank you for your help.Sent from my Verizon LG Smartphone

I tried that a hundred times already in the last hour, didn't work! So stupid!

I tried all that, basically, the charge 5 is not responding at all, All dead! But thanks for your respond! 😘
