Charge 5 is tracking too many active zone minutes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

over the last few days my Charge 5 has been recording very high zone minutes. When clicking on the breakdown, only the ones I recognise are shown. Similarly, this doesn't tally if I look at the daily HR tracker.

For instance today's zone minutes are recorded at 1H5, but the activity tracker only adds up to 22 minutes and similarly the HR tracker doesn't seem to reconcile with 1H5.

Am I misreading this?

Thanks

Hi @8O2  Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums. I hope I'm understanding your question correctly.

Active Zone minutes are based on your heart rate as you've seen in the breakdown. Whenever your heart rate reaches one of the 3 ranges, your Fitbit will start recording Active Zone minutes. You could be watching an intense movie or playing a computer/VR game that gets your heart racing which would result in Active Zone minutes. Activities like house cleaning, cooking, or washing dishes could also result in Active Zone minutes (I speak from experience. 😉)  Those kinds of activities would not necessarily show in the breakdown, though.
If this doesn't answer your question, please let us know.

It doesn't.  I just got this fitbit charge 5 and ever since I have had at least 2 days every week when my readiness score is near or at a 1 because it thinks my activity is off the charts.  Not true! I am injured so I can't be as active as it says I am. Also this app will not let me attach a screenshot!

Mine just started doing the same thing. Recorded Zone minutes are off the chart.  There must be an explanation

Hello & welcome @JimboDow

Have you looked at the Active Zone Minute details to see when your device recorded excessive Zone minutes? That should help you identify what activity you were doing at the time.

Thanks for your input. But 2 days in a row once walking once riding a bike outdoors. Has told me to slow down I am in peak when I’ve been sitting or standing still heart rate 60 and it’s still recording zone minutes. I have turned it off and back on. Will see what tomorrow brings

What you don't seem to understand is there is NO ACTIVITY I'M DOING! I spent this weekend at an air BNB doing nothing and for 3 of the 4 days my fitbit recorded activity off the charts! False! This is software/hardware issue!

There isn't. Their software or hardware has a flaw and they won't take the time to track it down!

I have tried restarting too and nothing seems to help.

I'm having the same problem, my heart rate is being recorded at nearly double what it is in reality. I called the help line yesterday and they opened a ticket but didn't do anything about it.
