Charge 5 is tracking too many calories burned

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was given a charge 5 for Christmas and have found it to be horribly inaccurate. It is telling me that I burn over 4000 calories each day which is not possible for me. It will also inform me that active minutes are counted while I am sitting in a meeting…

are there any solutions on how to adjust this device to make it usable?

A big factor in your calories burned is your weight.  Check that is entered approximately correctly.  More than that, there's no way to tell without a lot more specific information which you might not want to make public, such as weight, age, resting heart rate, plus would have to get good look at heart rte graph which would be hard to do.  In short, there is no button to push to say 'make the calorie count work right'.  In my experience, it has often been that the user didn't realize something about what was being measured, or something such as weight was entered wrong.  Perhaps user didn't realize calories include BMR calorie burn which is usually more than half of daily calorie burn.  But I have no idea about your case or what your BMR might be to judge.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
