Great product BUT beware! If you knit, yes, you read it right. If you knit, the movement of your wrists will be counted as steps. 😂 yesterday I didn’t go for my walk. Today I saw 6,653 steps on my report. What?! I opened the app and knitted. Yes. Every stitch was a step. If you are knitting, you may want to take your Fitbit off.

Hi @pauline88 you can also get more steps playing the drums, waving or any other action where you move the wrist. As these are wrist based devices, the movement is what makes a step be counted. A friend of mine knitted and usually took off the Fitbit when sitting for a project. You can remove those unwanted steps by logging it as an activity - click to read about it. It also won't count your steps with a hand in your pocket, pushing a cart or holding something too close to you while walking.
