The watch turns off 3 hours after a full charge. Why? I got it in December and it has worked fine so far. Do I have to change the battery?

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend restarting your Charge 5 by following these steps.
Regarding your inquiry, please note that the battery on your Charge 5 is not replaceable nor interchanged. We as Fitbit do not do it or suggest to do so as it could permanently damage your Fitbit device.
