Charge 5 is unable to function after being in water

My C5 is unable to function properly after playing around in water as it is was submerged 2ft in water. It ticks me off that it is rated to be 50 meters water resistant yet couldn't handle the surface of the water. Obviously, I dried it up and cleaned it afterwards, it was spring water that I was in. The C5 died in the middle of the trip (I waterlocked it), and after charging it back up I could not interact with the screen whatsoever, I tried double tapping very hard to un-waterlock but that didn't work with it plugged in. I saw the battery charging screen and the clock face, but I just couldn't get it out of waterlock mode. I decided to let it sit in a bag of silica gel packets rice to hopefully suck up all the moisture trapped inside it as I saw condensation in the HR monitor. The HR monitor still works as it flashes green when my finger is on it. 3-days later, I charged it back up. After many times doing the reset method, the screen pops up the Fitbit logo, turns blank, then a white pixel flash appears for 0.5 sec and then blank screen. On the Fitbit app, it is still able to sync with my C5 and see the battery percentage. My Fitbit was only 1.5 years old. I am disappointed and pissed at the same time.

Also I did contact support, they couldn't do anything but asked me to clean the FitBit. They offered a 35% discount, I don't even know if I want to buy another FitBit anymore.
