Charge 5 is unresponsive

I have owned my fitbit charge 5 for about 14 months and this last week it has stopped working. No flashing lights on the bottom and nothing on the screen. My phone is showing that the battery charge is increasing but as stated nothing is happening with the device. My phone also suggests an update which I have tried but isn't working. I have tried the 3 clicks using the charging wire which has also proved fruitless. Any suggestions please ? With thanks.

Hi there, @Paul13D. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 has become unresponsive. I will do my best to help you with this! 

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image. 
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Good morning, regarding my unresponsive Fitbit Charge 5 - I tried the remedies suggested by 'Marrefitbit' but the device is dead. Please advise me, is there any point in complaining that such a new device no longer works or do I have to buy another ? I'm lost without a watch so please advise soon. From a very disappointed fitbit user of many years.

@Paul13D Thanks for following the troubleshooting steps I recommended above. 

Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have a Charge 5 and report that it's unresponsive, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.

My Fitbit has stopped working today. Totally blank screen. I know it is charged but there is nothing. There is no reset button. Put it on charge and there is nothing! Do I just bin it and buy a different make of tracker?
