My Charge 5 isn’t updating and still showing my steps from yesterday. Any idea how I resolve this?

Thanks for the information provided about this issue with your Charge 5.

I've seen a few users experiencing something similar in the past. If you haven't done so already, please try restarting the device using the charging cable:  

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second.
  3. Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
  4. If the device doesn’t restart, wait 15 seconds to try again.

In addition to that, please make sure to check that you have the correct time zone selected, since the steps should reset at midnight.

I never even noticed that button on the charging cable 😉. I completed a restart using these instructions, then synced, and the issue was corrected.
