Charge 5 issues ongoing and with today's time change in US

I have had ongoing issues with my Charge 5 which have gotten worse since the visuals changed a few months ago. After today's time change, my patience is being tested even more. I have logged out both online and in the app, restarted my phone, then logged back in and still have the issues. Both issues relate to Hourly Activity:

1. ongoing, my setting is to be reminded if I have not hit y 250 steps, but even though I have checked to see it is in fact enabled, I do not get reminders

2. with today's time change, my Fitbit adjusted my start and end times, but every time I go in to change it in the app, it won't save to my desired times. In fact, it keeps adjusting every time to get further away from desired hours. I tried adjusting on the website, hit save, and it showed me my desired ties were saved, but even after multiple attempts to sync with the app, the app just keeps changing to random hours.

As I said, I have tried all the usual suggestions for logging out, **ahem**ting down, and restarting on the web and app. I have had this issue since I bought this model, so I guess it is a glitch that won't be fixed in an attempt to get me to purchase another model? My only other thought is to uninstall the app and reinstall it; as long as my account is still active, I presume I won't lose all my data, but can you confirm this, please. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

CW67,

You saved me a lot of typing. I have the same problem as of this morning with the time change, I keep resetting the times for the 250 steps and it doesn't change. I've closed and re-booted without any luck. This never happened with any prior time change. Hopefully, they will come up with a solution.

Same here. Time for reminders to move changed to 4 AM instead of 8. Also was wrong on Fitbit account on web. Could change on dashboard but not on app.

Just discovered that the set time doesn’t hold on the dashboard, either

Yes same issues here. And have done all the same normal suggestions with no apparent resolution.

Hate to say misery loves company but your #2 about my hours were different this morning starting at 4 am!  I’ve tried so many times to reset it to 7 am to 4 pm. In past I’ve done it but today won’t update. Very very frustrating

Yes and I tried contacting support and she sent me message that I would receive an email about issue. Funny as that was 2 hours ago. Obviously my stress level today is way too high.

I had the same problem this morning. I found that if I change the setting on the Web app it DOES change the setting on the mobile app but to a Different (1 hour earlier) on my iOS app.   I kept changing it on the wen until I got what I wanted on my iPhone.  Of course today's data is messed up but hopefully it work work as expected tomorrow. This is another problem with the new iOS app.  I thought Google knew how to make a mobile app.  Still learning it seems.

Hi all,

Thanks for your replies. I took a break, then kept playing with it throughout the day and this morning; as of my latest attempt this morning, it seems to have updated properly. The app is the problem, and with so many other issues recently, I suspect the problem lies in the recent update where the entire visual of the homescreen and other formats were changed. What a mess, but at least this one feature sees okay now. If you are still having issues, I would suggest you keep trying. Technology is great, except when it isn't...

Fitbit folks,
This morning the 250 step time change was possible.
All Well.
