Charge 5 keeps blinking the Fitbit logo

My screen suddenly went blank, it blinks white. Sometimes it looks like static or it’ll flash the time but it’s mostly blank. I have restarted it a couple of times and sync’d it but it won’t work. I could see the restart logo blink briefly but it’s just white. The app says it’s still sync’d but I’m not able to see anything.

Hi there, @Mmccullen. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out.

If the steps provided by @Julia_G don't work and since the Charge 5 is blinking the Fitbit logo, please try the following:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.

If you can't get started with your Charge 5, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you continue having difficulties to update your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Nevertheless, I've seen you tried reaching out to our Support Team, but your chat got disconnected. If the steps above don't work, please feel free to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

Hi, @Mmccullen , as you have tried the restart several times and that has not helped, I would suggest seeing if changing the clock face works.  You can do this in the app.  The instructions are here .  Then be sure to sync your Charge 5, and you might also try the restart again.

If changing the clock face solves your issue then you can return to the previously preferred clock face if you want.

If this doesn’t solve your issue I would recommend getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com .

Good luck and let us know how it goes.  Welcome to the forums!
