Charge 5 keeps generating readiness score 1

Dear all,

I am having a problem with the readiness score. Since three days it shows only 1. It started from a day I edited my sleep time after it was measured, from then on it only shows 1. I deleted that score to see if it helps but nothing. I tried resseting the tracker, the app and the phone to no avail. I keep getting 1s.

Hope anyone can help.

Hi @Fran_ — sounds like you’ve already tried most of the steps folks are likely to suggest.

Are you getting sleep scores? That’s needed to get a readiness score.  If not, try readjusting your band.  I’m not sure what you meant regarding resetting the app, but try signing out of it and the signing back in. As a final step, you can try removing your Fitbit from the app and then adding it back.  Hope one of those ideas helps.  Let us know if anything works.

Hey Scott,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I'm getting sleep scores. It's very weird that it happened after I edited the sleep time and the app recalculated the sleep score, now all I get is 1s in the readiness. Maybe it's a bug with the app.

Here are some screenshots before I deleted all of the previous data.

@Fran_ I think you are correct about a bug. I can see why the readiness score related to the day you edited the sleep score might be affected (though even then, I’d think the algorithm would just not produce a score at all), but continuing to get 1s after that day definitely seems buggy.  I’ve flagged your post for moderator review.

As a test, I just modified my sleep duration for last night (started it 10 minutes before the detected time). Unfortunately I didn’t screen shot before making the change, so I’m not sure whether it changed either the sleep score or the readiness score, but both scores still make sense. We’ll see if tomorrow’s readiness drops to a 1 or similar. I’m on iOS.A637B872-5906-4E08-990E-36AE67665B59.jpeg

Hi there, @Fran_@Baltoscott Thanks for the heads up and your help!

@Fran_ Thanks for bringing this to our attention and the screenshots provided. This is odd as you should be getting a readiness score based on your data, even if you edited one of your stats before. I understand this isn't the case and because this was reported a while ago, could you confirm if the same keeps happening? If so, may I know the model and OS version of your phone? These details will help me to further investigate on my end.

In the meantime, make sure the Fitbit app is updated and if you haven't done so, please give a try to the other suggestions shared by @Baltoscott.

Hi @LizzyFitbit

Actually that stopped after a while. I had ones for a couple of days and then it returned to normal. I tried editting the sleep data again but I can't reproduce the bug.

This was on a Pixel 6, Android 12.

Best,
