Charge 5 keeps shutting off

My Charge 5 continues to shut off. Restarted it numerous times a few days ago now again today it has shut off and I am unable to restart it with the charging cable.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for restarting your Charge prior posting. I suggest trying a factory reset  by doing these steps:

  1. Plug your Charge 5 on the charger and hold the button on the device (charging cable button) until the device displays the blinking Fitbit logo. It could take up to 15 seconds before it shows up.
  2. When the device’s display starts to flash, release the button.
  3. Wait one to 2 seconds.
  4. Hold the button until you get a screen that displays a circle.

Hello @kstande 

Since a factory reset will wipe out all your data, you will want to sync your Charge 5 and your Fitbit app first before attempting a factory reset. Otherwise, you will lose all your data in your Charge 5.

Still able to restart by charging.  But issue of black screen recurs—have tried multiple fixes as suggested on this site including removing and reinstalling device. Each works until it doesn’t.  Very frustrating and lost data (especially sleep)
