my charge 5 is switching off after I receive a notification, with a vibration. On a vibration from a notification, the screen distorts with horizontal bands, then once the vibration ends the Fitbit switches off.

Hello @MikePMP
Thanks for the additional info. Those look like the troubleshooting steps we would suggest.
I think it would be best to contact Support (<-- click) about this issue. Complete the prompt in Step 1. Tap Continue in Step 2 (ignore Resources) to get to Step 3, which has the contact options.

Hi, I ve been trying the suggestions and thought a factory reset would work but it hasn’t. Tried draining the C5 but it won’t let me get to 0 charge (or even near) without shutting down. Without data, anything over 80% charge will result in the C5 working, but drop down to 70 to 75 % charge and it goes through an attempted reboot then shuts down. It started going through a series of reboots last night, until I just took it off altogether.

Hi Rieko, I went through the links you indicated and at the time of of looking ONLY came across a most likely answer page. Since I cannot wear the C5 due to its inconsistency (night time shutdown, charge to a reported 100% and notification shutdown, etc) I need to try a number of options: forget Fitbit as Google is reportedly stopping the Fitbit lines and potentially support, go back into and through the links for an email for phone number (that I failed to pick-up on the last times), or buy and iWatch or A N Other, or don’t take myself too seriously and just have a standard watch. I’m looking at all of these and will back. Thank you!
