I love my Charge 5 but I am frustrated with it. Its only a couple years old and it has suddenly started turning off more and more and having to be put back on the charger. Im seeing in the community its a common problem. Ive done the changing of the clock faces works for maybe a day. Ive done the resets with the charger and other tricks that have been mentioned. I guess what bugs me the most is it makes me wonder if there needs to be an update for the charge 5 or is it something that fitbit needs to recall and make right to their customers. Cause im sorry at just barely two years old this kind of thing shouldn't be happening.

Hi @Sunshine4797! It’s great to have you on board!
I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 turns off by itself. Thank you for all the information provided.
Since you have reset your Charge 5, please clean the charging contacts on both your watch and the charging cable:
* Fitbit Device
*Charging cable
After cleaning the contacts and restart your device please try to change the clock face.
I sugges you to take a look to the following article for more information: How to fix a blank, unresponsive, rebooting, or flickering Fitbit device screen
Thank you it didnt completely fix the issue but its at least not shutting off as much
As far as I know im updated to the newest version. I have checked and the app doesnt say I need to update. I just keep changing the clock face and resetting and every other thing that people have mentioned and it works for a bit then doesn't.
