Hi there, @4586Laureen. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is turning off. I understand your concern and how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!
If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:
If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

To proceed: Connect the Fitbit device to the charging cable.
Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times. Pause for one second between each press.
Wait for 10 seconds or until the vibration occurs and the Fitbit logo appears.
try to change your clock face. Open the Fitbit app. > Choose Device Setting. Then, navigate to the clock face options and try selecting a different clock face.
try to do a factory reset on the Fitbit but please note that you’ll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and any data on the Fitbit device that was not sync will be lost.
To proceed: Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app. On your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Device Info > Clear User Data. After that, you need to set up the device again like a new device. Then, continue to monitor the device in the next coming days.
I tried all of these, and it didn't help. The customer service told me to just call it defective. They said they cannot pinpoint the reason.
