Fitbit won’t charge blank screen have tried to reset it with the button on the charger, metallic plate around the sensors has come loose and fallen off. I’ve never been swimming or worn it in the shower but it’s showing signs of water ingress, it’s only 18months old not a very robust product I only use my Fitbit for long walks and for everyday purposes.

My backplate and rubber piece came off as well today. I contacted Fitbit Support and advised. They sent an email back stating I could get 35% discount. This is my 2nd Fitbit in a year. The 1st Charge 5 stopped working after the update that messed up everyone's devices. They replaced it and now this one isn't working after less than 6 months. Of course, they are saying it is no longer under warranty. I'm mad because I said I would never get another one but my boyfriend convinced me to buy another one since I was accustomed to them. Having been a loyal Fitbit user for over 10 years.  And now, a few hours later, it's not charging at all but was working perfectly fine before the pieces came off. I'm not spending another $200 on another one. Lesson learned......

I purchased my first Charge 5 on 11/28/2021. On 08/10/2022, it was promptly replaced because the screen detached. Now, 9 months later, the screen has yet again detached. Like you, I'm anticipating that they will say it is not under warranty; however, I have yet to get a full year's worth of wear from a Charge 5 device. I would not consider myself rough on my Fitbit but I would be curious to hear about the percentage of Charge 5s that have failed prior to 12 months.

Yes, and got the 35% percent discount offer. Not helpful at all.

My metal plate fell off too...but I was lucky enough to be home when it happened and was able to use E6000 glue to reattach it, using toothpicks, after cleaning out the area behind the plate with cotton swabs. So far it's  staying  on.  Yes, it shouldn't  have fallen  off in the first  place, but at least I was able to salvage  the device. Hope thus helps some folks out there.
