Charge 5 metal sides not acknowledging fingers anymore

I've seen some people have also had issues with ECG and EDA no longer working and I've also tried the resets, the uninstalls and the moistening of fingers.. I'm now thinking maybe it is a software issue if I'm not the only one who's voicing this recent malfunction. Does anyone know if there's an update coming to fix this or are we just to accept the ECG functions etc is no longer compatible with the charge 5?
