My Charge 5 won't charge any more.
I have checked the contacts are clean and intact.
The device vibrates when connected and shows the FitBit logo followed by 0% Charging, but then the screen goes black and the device is unresponsive, until unplugging and plugging in again.
I have left the device on charge overnight to see if it was actually charging but it was not.
I have pressed the button on the usb plug to reset the device but it did not work.
I have tried to contact FitBit support on the website by clicking on the Live Chat button, but the page does not load.

My Charge 5 is doing the exact same thing and I have also tried everything you have done.
I might be done with Fitbit. I am going to try a different kind of tracking watch. My last Fitbit, Charge 4, broke where the bands attach. Their solution is to give you a % off credit to buy a new one.

Hi. I had exactly the same problem this morning for no apparent reason. When I connected the charge cable the Fitbit was totally unresponsive. I spoke to an agent who told me to reset the device on the Fitbit itself. Scroll up from the Home Screen to settings. Then find restart device press that and confirm you want to do this and bingo everything works as it should on restart.
i hope this helps

Unfortunately the device is unresponsive and shows only a black screen, so I am unable to access the settings and reset the device.

I'm having the exact same issue. It started yesterday evening. The fitbit logo will flash a few times when I connect the charger then the screen goes completely black.
