Charge 5 no longer communicates with my iphone

My charge 5 suddenly won’t communicate with my iPhone.  After reading earlier posts with this issue, I followed the subscribed protocol:removed the charge 5 from my Bluetooth, removed the Fitbit app from my phone & turned the phone off for a few mins.  However, upon reinstalling everything and going thru the startup, my phone “finds” my charge 5, but never successfully connects to it….any help?

What ended up helping me resolve the problem was this YouTube post showing how to reset my Charge 5 via the button on the charging cord. Perhaps this information could be added to the protocol you listed.
