Did you mean:

Charge 5, no notice of low battery

My Charge 5 does not tell me when the battery is getting low - no notice what-so-ever.

Trying to check the battery on the face of the unit = Manual says to tap the face sharply twice, to wake it up.  Did that.  There is no battery indicator.  The app (IoS) shows a battery if you pull down on the opening screen.  OK, but shouldn't there be some sort of notice - and email, or text, or some way to tell me to at least check it?  Do I have to REMEMBER to check the battery every few days?  Maybe I need to set a reminder in the calendar of my iPhone, once a week? - more often?  Come on!  Don't rely on my memory!

To check the current battery level of your Charge 5 just swipe up from the clock face. The battery level is at the top of the screen.

If your device's battery is low (fewer than 24 hours remaining), the battery indicator turns red. If your device's battery is critically low (fewer than 4 hours remaining), a warning appears on the clock face and the battery indicator flashes. Swipe right to dismiss the warning.

To get an alert whenever the battery level of your device is critical you can easily manage how to get notified in the notification section of your Fitbit dashboard:

Prior to the software update you would be able to see the % of battery life left on the phone app. I no longer see that on the app. Do you know if that is hidden somewhere? That was useful to me.

And why doesn't the battery level show when I do a forced sync on the new app face?

Talahthas,

I clicked on the Fitbit Dashboard - Notifications link you provided, and the "Mobile" box is checked for Low Battery.  I checked the settings on my iPhone, and it is set to allow notifications from Fitbit, but I have never seen any low-battery notifications.
