Charge 5 not holding battery. Sudden decline

Hi,

 

I have a charge 5 approx 18 months old. My battery has been fine, lasting between 7-9 days. Last night my screen went black (although my app said it had 28%). I tried the reset through the charger which helped turn it on and saw it had 100%. In 1.5 hours is has gone down to 21% which is extremely quick. 

please advise what this could be

I appreciate your message, and I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is not holding battery, and the screen went black. 

This is definitely not the experience wanted for our customers, and I understand your feelings about this situation. 

Could you please verify if your phone's software version needs to be updated? For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad.

Also, please verify if the always on display mode is turned off: 

  1. Swipe down from the clock face to access quick settings.
  2. Tap the Settings app >  Display settings > Always-on display.
  3. Tap Always-on display to turn the setting on or off.
    • Or, you can tap Off-hours to set the display to automatically turn off during certain hours.
