Hi,  thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Charge 5, @LokiV

Before considering other options, I recommend that you try restarting the device again using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

The restart should be helpful with the issue you mentioned to track ECG. If it's still not working:

  1. Uninstall the ECG app from your Charge 5.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and restart your tracker.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  4. Install the ECG app one more time and make sure the permissions are enabled.
  5. Tap Discover > Assessments & Reports > Heart Rhythm Assessment to double check if still appears completed
  6. Try taking a reading one more time and let me know how it goes.

I'm on my 3rd Charge 5. Have same problem. Also, on my second Fitbit, especially after the update.

My Charge 5, good thing I don't expect much from it, because it is a frustrating electronic device. My next device will be the Oura Ring. I want something that at least works somewhat better.

Welcome to the Community forums, @dlstanf2

Thanks for taking the time to share all your feedback and your experience with your Charge 5.

Could you please provide a few more details about the issue you're experiencing? Let me know if your device is not tracking heart rate or if you're referring to the ECG feature.
