Switched from charge 4 to charge 5 last night. Usually average 90 zone mins on a typical days run in the evenings. Today was my first day running with the Charge 5. Its been 3 hours already after my run, and still shows zero zone mins today. It did count my steps and miles for entire day, but the heart rate graph has a big gap during the run period. Yes, is fully charged and yes the HR settings are not turned off. Also my GPS was set on Dynamic but nothing mapped even on a bright clear day. This is a downer and contemplating on returning.. Will switch back to charge 4 if i cant get this resolved. Any advice?

My advise:
(1) 1 day is pretty quick to be contemplating a return. What if it was just a one-night quirk?
(2) If you know you didn't get heart rate, forget about zone minutes. The core problem is heart rate. Of course you won't get zone minutes without heart rate. Focus on the basic problem, not on things that result from that.
(3) Do some detective work. Are there other times when you don't get heart rate recorded? What if you just try a short test run - do you get heart rate then?
