Charge 5 not responding

I have just bought a Fitbit Charge 5.  Put on charge for most of the night.  Different sockets.   Nothing.  Tapped screen nothing.  Also done the re-start with the button on the cable nothing.  Even web chatted with Fitbit just sent email after chat to re-start my Fitbit.  I can't even switch it on.  Anybody got any ideas or have I bought a faulty one

I've been indeed informed that you already got in touch with the Customer Support team and it seems they'll be providing you with further instructions. In this case, I recommend that you continue the assistance process with them so they can let you know how to proceed.

@DavideFitbit After reading the number of similar reports for brand new Charge 5 it should begin to dawn on Fitbit support that possibly, just possibly you have a serious firmware and/or product quality issue which combined with a poorly working reset can lead to what is known as a "bricked" product (aka nonfunctional).
