Post here if your charge 5 has died and share your support experience. I'll start, I bought my family 4 charge 5s last year and they are now all dead out of warranty. All I was offered was 30% off another device which is an absolute joke.

Same. I got my watch 2/12/23, and it's already dead. I bought it from Amazon. After reviewing all the legal gobbledygook, it looks like I'm out $130 plus the now-useless extra bands I bought. Angry doesn't BEGIN to cover it.

Got my charge 5 christmas 2022. Died after circa 3 month, black screen no connection to phone.

Got a replacement. Worked fine until a couple of days ago. Screen works but no connection to phone and no reaction when trying to charge it... just wrote an email to support...

20 hours ago i synced and the app said my Charge 5 had 55% charge. It was fine 4 hours ago. Now it has died. Bought in June 2022. Furious. I’m a long time Premium user - now going to Apple.

I got the same reply yesterday. I am going for the replacement as well. I'm not too keen on giving them any more of my money... Reading all these posts about the watches becoming obsolete after a year (give or take)...  
I was actually happy with my charge5 and it seems to still work, I can still see my step count in the app, but obviously I can't do much more than that because of the black screen. 
Yes, Google took over last year. And ironically the offered discount is not valid for Google products. I thought the 'planned obsolescence', as ptx1 mentioned above, would be to push us to use Google products. 
Anyway, I hope my replacement will live longer than this one.
