I need some help please. I don’t get any Spo2 readings in the morning. Got the premium sub. All the info I have found so far didn’t help me. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Hoi Luke, I got it sorted now. I had my region set to the wrong country. I only need a reading now. I will give that a few days. I also read that Fitbit is looking in the problem in having to reset it every time. Take care. 🖖

They take some time to be updated in the mornings. You sound Dutch, so should be available in the Netherlands.

@jfe Thanks for your input.

@FcTwente Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the research done prior to posting.

I'd like you to check the following:

Fitbit SpO2 app is automatically added for users in select countries. Make sure your device is running the latest version. For more information on updating your tracker, see How do I update my Fitbit device? For more information on the availability of Fitbit SpO2, see fitbit.com.

If you removed the SpO2 app from your device, reinstall it in the Fitbit app on your phone:

  1. With your Fitbit device nearby, in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab

     your profile picture

     your device image.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. In the list of apps, tap SpO2 > Install > Install

Also, check out this article for more information on why you didn't receive SpO2 data.

Hope this helps.

Ta, all the info you have given I have seen and tried. Can’t find a link for the countries who get it automatically added and I can’t find it in me apps. Thanks for your help. 🖖

I am having the same problem.   I was getting spO2 for several days then it stopped.     And i did not get anything for 5 days,  then it started to work again for 4 days and now has stopped taking readings.    Any help?   do I have a defective FitBit?

Best Answer

Ta, interesting I wonder how many Fitbit charge 5 users had or still have this problem. 🖖

@FcTwente Thank you for getting back.

While there isn't a page that shows which countries get SpO2 app installed, you could find the countries where SpO2 is available here, at the bottom you'll see the list. May I know where are you located? Did you ever receive this data?

@Bubbapaul Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned.

I'd like you to check this article to find out some of the reasons why you might not receive SpO2 readings.

Ta. I had a read on the link and yes my country is in the list (UK) but the comment with the Asterisk doesn’t mentioned anything about charge 5.  All the other things are fine except the Spo2. Thanks for your help. We will get it to work one day. 🖖

I was able to get the SPo2 working , ( with No help from Fitbit support 😠)   I went to the My Account on the App, then to the Charge 5 Icon then to apps.  Where I  noticed that there was an update waiting for the Spo2 app.  I did the upgrade and the Spo2  took a reading last night, for the first time in a week.  You may want to check to see if yours need updated.

Ta. No update so far but I will keep an eye on it. I pleased that you got it to work. 🖖

Which version is your firmware at? Once I activated my Charge 5 I was told to perform an update of the firmware immediately. Mine is at 57.20001.142.37.

Ta. I got the same version. I had to update my Fitbit too as soon I activated it. Except no Spo2 yet. 🖖

Since I bought my charge 5 around October 4th...the SpO2 app has displayed a value of "95%" every morning...I found it strange it never changes.

The last couple of days however, it displays "--"... If I uninstall the app and reinstall it (via the Fitbit app) it returns with the "95%" display.

Anyone else having this issue? Does it seem normal that my reading is always 95%

Best Answer

similar here. I don't have premium but have latest version of firmware etc. SPO2 used to show 95% every morning (never changed, which seemed odd) but last couple of mornings it shows "--". uninstalling the SPO2 app and reinstalling it brings back the "95%" figure.

Ta. I wish I had the app so at least I could uninstall it and reinstall it. 🖖

I connect to my Fitbit via an Android phone... So of you're is the same, at what step does what you see differ from what I see (might help the mods or someone figure out what's going on). Here's the steps I take...see where what you're seeing differs (it differs slightly from what someone posted previously but I know it seems repetitive...sorry):

1) load the Fitbit app on my phone

2) select my picture icon on the top left

3) select the charge 5 icon

4) on the next screen there's the apps square (has 4 dots on it)

5) the next screen has 3 options along the top, charge 5, clocks, and apps... Select apps

6) I get a list of apps, SpO2 is one of them...click ok the arrow that points to the right...it's on the right

7) I then get the app info and it says installed.

I'm guessing you can get up to step 5 and then don't see SpO2?

Unfortunately whatever your response, I've no ideas but hopefully it might prompt someone here

Not sure this will help , but I noticed when mine is working, I can scroll down on my fitbit device ( not the app) to see the Spo2 screen.    When it is not working it does there is no screen. .

Same problem here and a terrible uses experience: I need to do paste or reinstall the spO2 app on fibit each time I want the readings. When will this be fixed? Why are measurements missing for every time there is an update?
