I need some help please. I don’t get any Spo2 readings in the morning. Got the premium sub. All the info I have found so far didn’t help me. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Any chance the Fitbit app on your phone/tablet/pc needs updating? Have a check in the platform store if you've not already (apple store or Google play etc..)

I downloaded the app, and got a reading once after 3 days, but have no readings after that. I just checked it again (on the apps tab) and it had an update button there, so I tapped it. It says the update date was in August, so I can't imagine that will help.

Ta. Tried that no luck. 🖖

I do not know what to tell you, I also noticed that the update was August, but I went ahead and did the update and mine has been working now for the last 3 days, I do not have a lot of faith that it will continue to work. I will let you all know if it stops again.

Have you put in a support request to Fitbit yet. If not I thing that is your best solution, short of returning it.

After a reboot this morning it's now showing 96%... So some progress I guess

Hi everyone. @Bubbapaul, @jfe and @LukmanC Thanks for stopping by and sharing the steps that worked for you!
Thanks for your efforts while trying the steps suggested in this thread. I understand how you're feeling about this situation and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. As mentioned before, there are a few factors that may prevent your Charge 5 from tracking your SpO2 data correctly such as not using the SpO2 app or getting less than 3 hours of sleep.
If those factors don't apply to you, please try the following steps:

Hi Lizzy,
What "worked" for me was a restart of the tracker...it now shows a reading of 96% (which is different to the 95 it seemed to have been stuck on).
Will wait and see if it shows a different reading (or none at all) tomorrow morning. (All other things, positioning, synching, sleep length etc are as should be). I suspect there is a software bug...I've noticed a lot of the readings from the tracker don't immediately show on the app after synching...after a sync I have to go back and forth between screens to eventually see the app display data (sometimes chart entries are blank for example but clicking on the chart to maximise it redraws it with the correct images)... If there's an option to DM, feel free to reach out to me directly if you're interested in a more detailed log of these issues...for now though I don't want to hijack @FcTwente's issue.

No worries mate it’s nice to see ideas how we could get it to work again. Yes I do start to believe it’s a problem what Fitbit not have sorted out yet. Resetting the Fitbit or the app should not be the case. Well we will see what the future brings. 🖖

Same thing this morning. SpO2 was showing no reading. I restarted Fitbit device and now it shows 94%, an updated value.... This is most certainly a bug in the SpO2 app, it's failing to get the refreshed reading without a restart

Just an FYI, this morning I had the same problem of no reading. Once again I restarted the device and once again I now see a new value of 94%... This tells me the device is reading values overnight (so not a fitting or lack of sleep issue) and it is storing the readings (so not a hardware issue). It's failing to show that new reading but is hiding the previous reading.....so it's most certainly a bug in the SpO2 app...and I'd bet money on that

Ta. Let’s be honest we can’t keep restarting the device every time. So let’s hope the manufacture reads this too. Fingers crossed we get an another update to fix our problem. Maybe it’s fixed when we get an update for our ECG. 🖖

Hi there, @LukmanC and @FcTwente.
Thanks for trying the suggestions in my post and monitoring your Charge 5 behavior. I see where you're coming from about having to restart your tracker every day. Our team is aware of this issue experienced with the SpO2 data and they're correctly working to identify a solution as soon as possible. I apologize for this experience and please know your feedback won't go unnoticed as it'll help us to keep our team informed of this situation.
In the meantime, please restart your tracker any day you don't see a SpO2 reading so it can appear afterwards. Additionally, be sure to update the Fitbit app to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.

Thank you.
I think TCTwente still hasn't been able to find an option to install the spO2 app however but I'll let him clarify.
Glad to know the Devs are now aware of and working on the issue o described

Hoi Luke, I got it sorted now. I had my region set to the wrong country. I only need a reading now. I will give that a few days. I also read that Fitbit is looking in the problem in having to reset it every time. Take care. 🖖

Got it marked as top answer. I did get some help at the end from Fitbit self with the chat online.
