Charge 5 not turning on with wrist movement or not tracking steps

My charge 5 is a week old. It was working fine until this morning. It doesn’t turn on when I move my wrist and it’s not tracking my steps. I’ve already checked the wake option, that’s on. Sleep mode is off. I’ve tried restarting the device and I also forgot the device and reinstalled. Still no change. I’m really frustrated because I never had this issue with my previous device. And it’s NEW! 
Please HELP!

Was there a fix for this?  Mine does not turn on when i turn my wrist.

same problem and doesn’t cout stairs either. very disappointed compared to previous 5 fitbits

I have a similar problem. My charge5 is nearly fully charged (92%) but it seems to have just turned off and won’t come on with wrist movement or tapping. It won’t sync with my app either- the app seems to keep looking for the charge5…

would appreciate some tips on how to make it work again! It’s also relatively new …
