I got caught in the thunderstom yesterday. First time my charge 5 has gotten wet since I got it 18 months ago.
It started buzzing franticly showing me the fitbit logo, like it was constantly rebooting. After I got home it was unresponsive. I tried repeatedly to do the 3 button press on the charging cable and eventually after 10 or so goes it sparked into life. I left it to charge for a bit, and when it got to 60% put it on to go run an errand.
It managed to track about 400 steps before dying again. When I got home put it back onto charge and it said was at 3% charge. Charged it again and the same thing happened. Seems it can no longer hold a charge for any amount of time. Help!!

Just to add that prior to this, a full charge would easily last a whole week.

This seems to be a very common problem with the Charge 5. Yours has lasted far longer than mine did. If you live in Europe, I believe you are still covered by your 2 year warranty. If so, contact Customer Support and request a replacement device. If you wait even one day past the warranty period, Fitbit will not help you.
If you live in the US, I believe you are no longer covered by the one year warranty. This problem cannot be repaired, so you will have to purchase a new fitness tracker.
