Charge 5 not working after swimming

I went swimming last week for the first time with this Charge 5.   After letting it dry for a week it still won't turn on or sync.

@Canukistani Welcome back to the Fitbit community!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working properly. I'd suggest to to restart it following these instructions:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds to see if the Fitbit logo appears.

thanks, i'll try that.

edit:  okay, i did that.  nothing is happening.   I contacted Chat Support and they told me to do the same thing.   my fitbit gets warm when it's on the charger
