Charge 5 on swimming mode all it shows on the screen is the time

Very disappointed with the charge 5 and wondered if you could get a refund if something is not fit for purpose.

Bought the Charge 5 solely for swimming but very disappointed to find that all it shows on the screen is the time. I can check the time I've been in the pool by looking at one of the 3 clocks on the poolside.

I mean it doesn't show a single thing!! Not lengths, distance or anything??

So this device is utterly pointless for me for swimming with. I can't take my phone poolside to keep checking the app to see how many lengths I've done.

I read that this could be an upcoming feature in an upgrade but if this isn't available soon I'd just sooner get a refund.

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

I am sorry to hear about your struggle with FITBIT. I am in Canada a retiree but they have me registered to the US and as a business and nothing I say or do gets them to correct their profile security for me.

I'm expecting noting to come of my complaint and suggestion. They even said on live chat that I hadn't bought it from them as they couldn't connect to order number.

They just don't want to know after you've spent your money with them.

Thanks for the update Surfista! I am intrigued by your review.

This week, my crappy Charge 5 told me I completed 35 lengths out of a 72
length swim. Customer service / warranty repair at FitBit couldn't care
less. #unacceptable #fraud

Mine was the opposite. Wore my SWIMTAG and I did a quick swim of 38 lengths and the Charge said I'd done 44. It's soooooo inaccurate.

Mine also after 14 months and they didn't even offer me a discount on a new one. I had also purchased one for a family member which was replaced a month or 2 before the warranty expired. If Fitbit combined all the posts about battery failure into one post, it is hard to estimate how many pages that would fill.
