I just updated my Firmware (1.171.50) the other day since Fitbit informed me via the app of a new update.
After the update, my Charge 5 no longer holds a charge longer than 3 hours even with GPS and screen off. Even if I don't wear it, the battery dies within 3 hours.
Before the update I have never had charge problems like some other users have had. Usually, I could go for 7-10 days between charges. Now it is unusable.
I chatted with customer support to no avail. I was told that my device had not finished the update, though the app and device clearly said that it had. The representative said I would have to wait for another Firmware update to fix it. That renders me with a useless device!
