My Charge 5 randomly shuts off and the only way to turn it back off is to connect the charger and it’s at 100% today. Anyone else having this issue?

Hello my Fitbit is doing the exact same thing and because it turns itself off you can’t get the data on your phone - as there is none. Please can someone assist!

Hello,

I worked with Fitbit’s tech support for a couple of weeks. They didn’t resolve anything so they sent it up to higher authorities for next step. Never got resolved. Even they (Fitbit) said they would contact me about what’s the next step. I finally got tired of waiting and just bought a new one. Haven’t had an issue since. Still have the faulty one too just sitting around in case they want it back.

Had my Charge 5 for 5 days, and it has shut down twice through the night and today whilst on my walk. Had to connect the charger to restart, and it came back with the clock on the time it shut off. Had to sync to reset it. Sadly I ignored the bad reviews. 👎

I was having the same issue and posted recently about this. But I have had a kind of breakthrough?! I loosened the band on my wrist just slightly, and when I touch the face of the Fitbit and it does not bring up the time, etc. I pulled the face of the Fitbit away from my wrist just slightly, so it doesn’t touch my skin and as I let it go, and it goes back against my wrist it seems to light up and show the time. It is worth trying and if it doesn’t work the first time, it can sometimes take a few times. I hope this helps!

I have a Charge 5 which does exactly as you have described. It shuts down even though fully charged and I have to connect the charger to have it light up at a previous date and time. Mine is dead all the time now. I wear my Charge 2 instead.

Has there been any fix for this?

I bought a new CJ stage 5 yesterday and woke up and it’s turned it’s self off

I’m going to return it at this rate

I have this same problem.  Very frustrating as you aren't able to track activities or sleep as it randomly shuts down.

Having read of the other issues on here relating to the charge 5 i returned it to the seller (Curry’s in the UK) who refunded it without question. I bought a Garmin 55 instead and it’s excellent so far.
