It all started after an update many months ago.
Battery *suddenly* started draining 5-6 times faster than usual despite all the tricks to reduce usage.
Then there was an issue with 'Add card notification' dozens of times a day. Nuisance!!
These issues alleviated a bit for a few months but started again two days ago. Now the device randomly switches off.
I tried charging and using the button on the charging cable. Worked once.
Now it is a B R I C K!
I am going back to my Fitbit Versa. Working like a charm for more than 4 years. Google Charge 5
