Charge 5 receives notifications, not vibrations/alerts

My Charge 3 died a week or two ago (RIP, you served me well for four years) and I set up my new Charge 5 the other day. Everything is going well, except for what I’ve described in the title - when I open the notification centre, it shows the new notification(s), but my Fitbit doesn’t vibrate or give any other indication that I’ve gotten a notification. This is all notifications that I have on: texts, calls, Discord, Classroom, Finch, and Microsoft To-Do. None of them vibrate.

I have: restarted the Fitbit, restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app, forgotten my Fitbit from my iPhone settings, toggled off all notifications then turned them back on, and anything else you can possibly think of (including quadruple checking that DND on both my Fitbit and phone are turned off, as well as sleep mode and exercise mode).

Also, the vibration IS working - I’ve checked using alarms, plus it’s been reminding me to do my steps. Is there maybe some obscure setting that I’m missing? I’ve found two relevant forum posts and looked through the solutions suggested in them, but nothing helped.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Sarah2604

I appreciate all the details that you've provided about this issue with your Charge 5 and the notifications.

From what you mentioned, it seems that you already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps to try to resolve this problem. In addition to the steps you pointed out, please make sure to check all the permissions are turned on when you go to your phone's settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Notifications and make sure the restart your mentioned is the three pulse restart method using the charging cable.

In this case, if you continue to experience the same problem after the steps suggested, I recommend that you get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. They will let you know how to proceed.
