Charge 5 receiving calls but not text or email notifications

I purchased a charge 5 in June 2022. Since then, i have been receiving text messages, email notifications and calls on the device. Sunday morning (July 24) text and email notifications stopped and i cannot get them to work again. I have an Android Samsung 10S. My issue specifically is that my Fitbit is vibrating for calls, but not for text messages. I still receive other vibration alerts, such as move reminders. 

 

I've gone through numerous similar forum topics and tried all kinds of things...the Bluetooth unpairing, removing/unlinking devices from from the Fitbit app, restarting my phone in between, ensuring all notification toggles are on, turning the off then back on, force stopping the app, etc. Nothing has worked. Any other ideas?

Go to your setting on your watch and hit reset. It won’t erase any of your data. But check if notifications is on on the app and on your watch

I have the same issue. Made my purchase in June 2022. Very frustrating. Did not have this issue with previous Fitbit. Have tried everything. Disappointing.

I'm the same. I've tried everything but my charge 5 no longer let's me know about text, calls or emails. I thought it was just me! Very frustrating. I hope there's a resolution soon.

My Charge 5 is no longer even vibrating for calls, texts or emails. It was absolutely fine  then just stopped. I've tried everything to link it back up but no luck. Really frustrating 😕

Any luck with a fix yet?

 

I received my Charge 5 on July 19th, it worked (received all desired notifications) for about a week, and then stopped. I have also gone through all the tricks... Unpairing, reconnecting, restarting the Charge 5, confirming my app is up-to-date... extremely frustrating, and not what I paid for.

 

I'm about "this far" from throwing in the towel. 😕

I feel exactly the same. I've tried absolutely everything like you. I only got a Charge 5 as my previous Fitbit got damaged (completely my fault!).

Wish I'd just got another Versa.  The Charge 5 is a waste of money and pointless without these notifications working as far as I'm concerned.

Yes I managed to resolve the problem. There was a moon that was muted.

My previous Fitbit stopped working hence the charge 5.

There was a moon that was muted I kept clicking in settings trying different things. Eventually found it.

Go to settings - Focus check to see if it’s on

The moon (sleep mode) is off - has a line through the moon! And the DND mode is also off.

Is yours working normally now?

Just got mine working this morning!

My steps:

 

1. Logged out of the app

2. Uninstalled the app.

3. Restarted my phone (Pixel 3a XL.)

4. Downloaded the app from the Play Store and logged into it.

5. Put my Charge 5 on the charger.

6. Paired the phone and device again. 

 

It has to ask for permissions again, and had a couple pop-up boxes to 'ok'... Maybe one of those had to happen before it would let notifications through? I don't know... Frustrating, either way.

 

Side note, I tried to look at the new clock faces and it says no internet connection... But I'm fully connected at the moment. So something is still off. However, notifications coming through = I'll live with the same old clock face!

Hiya, I've had a couple of notifications through but not everything. Maybe by tomorrow it will all catch up with itself. Thanks for your help 👍 🙂
