Charge 5 records the wrong number of lengths swimming. I swim 1000 metres watch says 97

I swim 40 lengths in a 25 metre pool and watch says 975 metres. Since I always finish at the same end I start this is impossible. How do I correct this.

I have a similar issue with my charge 5. I swim 88 laps but it will sometimes record 87 laps. I start the swim timer before I begin swimming and I complete my swim at the same end of the pool from which I started, so I had to have completed an even number of laps.

Before I saw these posts, I posted a similar problem earlier today.  When I first got the charge 5, it accurately calculated (within about 150 yards) - 40 laps, 50 yards per, 2000 yards total, and Charge was within a couple hundred yards.  Just this week, the Charge calculated that my 40 laps recorded about 3,200 yards.  No idea why this has happened.
